Thanks, folks. I'll check that one out for sure. I didn't realize until I read this that there were third-party modules in the AE Modular format. How cool! Oh, yeah...plus there's devices from other companies that also use the Dupont pinwires, and a number of those (looking at you, Bastl!) are very compatible with the AE control standards.

Please check out the Blog posts over on www.tangiblewaves.com/blog that's where we post monthly news and also proudly announce any new third party modules when they come out.

I've been following the AE Modular series for a while, and am considering getting a drone-based system with these new modules. Does anyone have advice on what some potential system layouts might look like, that is what combination of modules? I've watched the videos above. I'd appreciate any thoughts on combinations of modules that would work well together, including the drone ones highlighted above. Thanks. Welcome disquiet! Good to see a little cross-pollination between lines and here. I can't advise too much as I'm being cheap and building up a rack slowly, but I love the idea of the two Drone modules and expect you'd get on well with them. You should also be aware of Wonkystuff's Matrix Mixer for experimental and feedback wranglings: wonkystuff.net/product/mm33/

Someone on the discord was after a Dronx delay demo, so I recorded myself playing around with each of the delay algorithms in sequence (from 1 to 8), using a Soundwich shaker and some radio as inputs. I'm tweaking the time, LFO and feedback parameters as I go to explore different sounds. Although I had a try, I'm not really set up for recording videos, so this is an audio-only demo, which is of course a lot less helpful for seeing what is going on! Oh well. I stopped playing when changing algorithms, so hopefully it will be clear when a new algo is in play. I think this is a really powerful and interesting module: even if you only used it as a delay, as I am here, it has a ton of potential. Enjoy!
