Ok let's take some time to check this album.
The opening track sounds very promising, that signature pristine minimalism that seems ever evolving. Lovely track. Hodgepodge starts again very minimal but it only stakes two, three notes to evoke this angelic melancholy, very nice atmosphere, love the solo lead voice weaving in and out of the mix. Silver Hawk, what change of tone, menacing, eerie brooding darkness but in a very high-tech way, could have fitted the opening scene of Aliens. Something with cryosleep induced killers, charging up between missions. Clearly not the bearers of good tidings.
Nice album so far. I'm curious to hear the following story.

Really digging the album so far funbun ! Especially loving Hello Mr New Year, it carefully treads the line of curiosity, openness, and mystery, whilst drawing you slowly deeper with a beautiful but patient progression. Great stuff. |

Ablation--a lady friend of mine is about to have a cardiac ablation. Most of the time I have no idea what I'm composing until I've composed it. During the process, at some point I realize this is about a person, event or something happening in real life. PATCH NOTES: Low-pass gates! the heart beat is a low-pass gate. I had no intention of making the heart sound that way, but it happened. Not only that it functions! It goes V-I for all you music majors out there. As time goes on the line between music and soundscape become blurred. I bass-boosted the EQ in post-production to make it easier to hear bass on smartphones and such. As always it's best to listen on quality speakers. There are also a lot of high frequencies in this patch, so be careful! This has to be my favourite of yours. The start was beautiful and the heartbeat is so perfect and the little bits around it fit it nicely then the funbun sequencing started.
I had zero inspiration this morning until I heard this and decided to concentrate on improving my sequencing so cheers.

What an amazing track, the intro is just perfect, the crackle unfolding like some delicate flower and then that heartbeat comes in to provide this steady backbeat. A truly masterful piece, Damon!
