Nice! I'm still trying to work out how to approach the tetraphobic challenge.

A good starting point would be to make your sequencer lengths something different from 4, 16, 32. On the AE you simply plug a step trigger into the reset input to change the length of the sequencer to step-1.

ah ok, was massively overthinking it. Guess you can randomly trigger the reset too as long as its not even. got me thinking which is the idea. cheers!

If you're really precise in dialing in your LFO speeds you could theoreticaly implement polyrhythms on the AE modular but polymeters are also interesting and can be implemented without much technical issues.

I also feel that drifting in lfo rates is more noticable if the envelopes have shorter attacks, whereas sounds that fade in and out are less tied to the internal clock of the listener if that makes any sense.

yeah that makes sense. I prefer a shorter attack myself. Minimal techno would be a good example of being able to hear the melody clearer.

So far I have only made the polymeters with the help of the blackbox it's easier to let the sampler do drum sounds and thus freeing up the AE for the more melodic voices and, soundsc(r)ape backdrops, and some extra percussion.

If you got it, you might as well use it. As you say leaves room for the good stuff!
