Hi everyone,
so still getting started with my AE Modular. Largely as a kind of central hub for some other small pieces of kit and electronics experiments. Here's my first release. riverofelectrons.bandcamp.com/album/embodied-synthesis-1So this is pretty crazy, but I'm very happy with the result.
I just supplemented my very minimal case with two new modules. Modulators (the LFO + Env Gen / VCA + Random combo) and the XMIX. This combines with the SV Filter.
Sound sources are :
- a Bastl Kastle
- a self-programmed BBC Microbit board.
Modulation is thanks to the Kastle's own LFO, and the second LFO from the AE Modulators
(Note that the cross-modulating possibilities of just the Kastle + Modulators is already exploding my mind :-)
Processing is the Modulators EG/VCA and SV Filter.
Plus a Korg NTS-1 for phaser / delay / reverb FX.

lots of cool random craziness in there. Fav is the ES1:3 due to the croaking turning into almost choking noises.

Well, to be honest, ES-1:3 is more interesting because it's actually three shorter sessions cut and glued together. The first two tracks are both one single session, with some redundant sections chopped out of the middle. The third is a Frankenstein creation out of three different sessions.
The amazing organic croaking / choking type sounds are coming from the Microbit's speech synthesizer, as I describe here :
(though going through the SV Filter is also contributing to it)
