Wow! These are going to save so much space in the rack. Whoah, is that a track-and-hold on the uS&H module?!

What is the difference between a sample and a track and hold? Any idea on the arrival of cases with a micro module row?

What is the difference between a sample and a track and hold? Any idea on the arrival of cases with a micro module row? Re track and hold, from the doepfer module manual: " In T&H mode the output signal follows the input signal while the trigger input is "high". As soon as the trigger input turns to "low" the last voltage is stored" In practice what that means is it's kind of the opposite of an s&h - send a pulse and it tracks/passes the CV signal through, when the pulse ends it stores the value. A useful tool.

I like the idea of a micromodule case that would go along the top of the regular AE case, me too , but also it could be fun just on it’s own ,, a kind of ‘electronic Toblerone’ .. though for that we would need a mini version of the power/3.5mm in/out module .. probably do-able using 1 stereo socket and splitting the in/out via that? but i also like the idea of a case that has a top uModules row built in like the Intellijel cases... mmmm nice!

Is there a possibility to fix the micro modules via m3 screws? If i am right, i remember some magnetic connectors… greetings from germany!

These are so, so tempting for my extremely small case.
I can swap my 4VCA for 2 x u2VCA and have a spare 1/3... the S&H looks nice. I've also got 1u spare for, I dunno, an LFO, distortion, and Logic.
When will I be able to start GASsing over them in Tangible Grid? They're probably a bit more complicated to add, right?
Will there also be 1/3rd, 1/2lf, or 1/6th blanks available?
Can I use the suboctave at sub-audio rates as another clock divider? I could use *way* more clock dividers.

I've started this sort of thinking too, about how to release space in my rack by getting replacements, let alone the u modules that bring something new to the party....
The modules are on the TW website now but Robert said in his blog shipping starts August 15th.
I would expect the answer to your suboctave question will be yes going on other AE modules,
Enjoy your musings... Pol.

First couple of thoughts on this. 1) The LOPAG should fit in the micro-module format, no?
Would love to see that.
2) If it's possible to shrink the electronics to fit some of these modules, I wonder whether this could mean more full sized modules combining functionality. Eg. a single bitcrusher + distortion + subosc unit might work well. Or a ORX4 + 4LOGIC + S/H.
3) Yes. We need to see these in the grid tool.
4) How about a deal? Buy the uBase + 2 modules and the third one is free?

Hi interstar, These are all great thoughts and I'm sure if the micro modules are seeing a good uptake that more types will be produced by tangible waves and the 3rd party developers. Gaëtan has started work on adding the micro modules to the gris, but it's tricky and he doesn't have a lot of time at the moment ... so it might still take some time. Once it's released I'll make a big announcement about it.

How do they fit in the standard AE format??? I'm lost in the dimensions and Hypothetical placement.... Looking for actual builds pictures but can't find any.

They will fit onto a 1U wide base module which you screw into your rack just like any other module. The base module can hold either 2x 1/2 size modules or 3x 1/3 size modules. www.tangiblewaves.com/store/p169/uBASE.htmlThere was a photo in our May blog post which shows this in real life: www.tangiblewaves.com/news/archives/05-2022

Ah, cool, I just noticed the small M3 screws! I still dont' understand how would the case accept those partials underneath, but cool, thanks, I am also very new to this blog, I will take a lookaround!

Hi! A little question..what it's the power compsuption of a micro module ( for example 1/3 micro module)? Or anyone know what it's the pinout connection?

Hi! A little question..what is the power consumption of a micro module ( for example 1/3 micro module)? Or anyone know what it's the pinout connection? I don't have any of the micromodules yet, but I suspect that the power consumption relies on the active components used for each module, so it depends.

Thanks..this question it's because i receive a wonkystuff BD55 prototype..and see in his web that fit on the BRAEDBORD! But I'm afraid to fry it!

Finally gotten around to grabbing a handful of these - aim is to add density, starting by replacing my 2signal amp for that in micro, plus distortion and bitcrushing.
Elsewhere my kickdrumis going for micro with wonkystuff's bd55 along with the sample/track and hold and logic, meaning I can cram in something else too (undecided there, but might look to get the topograf back in).
Toying with adding the kuzmin filter too as what I've heard sounds nice. Not yet though... Next time!

you won't regret a kuzmin addition tIB Yeah I dont doubt it, though it would mean a slightly more involved tweaking of the system than I'm probably willing to go for at this point in time - it's a problem I don't want to solve until I've played the next iteration...
