I'm glad i ordered Two 2x20 cases a while back. I guess it won't be difficult to fill them up.
I am really happy that a "real" envelope generator is now in the ever expanding assortment of modular temptations. The two new sound sources are also welcome additions.

I saw there are a couple of new modules which feature attenuverters. How does this work in AE world? This is a supposition based on how inversion already works in AE :
Fully CW, the signal is unattenuated. When turned CCW, the signal is attenuated towards 0V (at 12 o'clock). Then, going CCW, a signal corresponding to the input signal flipped around the 2.5V line starts getting progressively louder.
I think the wiki could use a gif to represent that. I'll see if I get time t make one today.

Guessing here as I'm not 100% how negative voltages are handled in the system (?), but looking at the description I thought it would clip any voltages above 5 and below zero, and to invert you would use the offset to bring the inverted signal into that range?

There are no negative voltages in Æ, which makes attenuversion somewhat tricky. The 2ATT/CV and the LOGIC have an inverted input, which symmetrically flips the input signal around 2.5V. So it means that if you input a downward slope that goes from 5 to 0V, you'll get an upward slope that goes from 0 to 5V.

Yes, inversion happens around 2.5V in the new 2CVTOOL and POLAMIX too and then the offset control lets you shift the result up and down.

So, 2.5v is the center, and any voltages below 0 or above 5 are clipped off? Sounds like a lot of stuff would be getting chopped off in practical use, unless you’re very specific with your attenuation. Hmmm I’m just going to have to get them and find out!

It doesn’t matter much what the range is. Clipping only occurs quickly when offsetting a signal that takes up the full range, which not all signals do. So there is some wiggle room. Also, attenuation is quick and easy. I‘ve had prototypes of the two AE modules for a bit and I don’t feel like I’m clipping more often than I did on Eurorack with similar modules a few years back. Usually I want to attenuate as well as offset though in my use cases.

Hmmm I’m just going to have to get them and find out! 2.5v is in the middle of the range so I'm assuming it inverts signal without clipping top or bottom unless you use the offset to push it either way to do so.

well now I want a polamix. but i’ll only have 3 spaces left after this current order arrives, and I need to save at least 1 of them for the rumored sampler module. new case time? ? GAAAAAHHHHH

I like a lot of the new modules, now I need to prioritize, for now I will keep the same path in the order I wanted to buy some modules .. But I can not find the sunrise page anymore.. I liked to see a bit of the future, hope it will return again, or is it incorperated in the forum now ? Someone knows ?

I’m sorry to say that the sunrise page has been discontinued. It wasn’t very accurate at all. For instance most of the modules that have just been released weren’t even on there before! And others, like the Quantizer, have been “In Production” for ages. This has led to confusion and frustration and therefore it has been removed. There may be other ways upcoming modules will be teasered in the future, eg. Here in the forum or on Facebook. One thing is certain however ... there will be more modules coming this year and they will be awesome, no kidding

Should we maybe have a "news" section on the forum, so that they are not mixed with the regular topics ?

One thing is certain however ... there will be more modules coming this year and they will be awesome, no kidding I was looking at the wiki, maybe it is interesting to have them in future over there with a future 'tag', and have also a 'past' tag. So it would be filterable, only current modules (default) or/and include old modules (not available anymore) or/and future modules.. an other point what would be nice in the WIKI is to have a kind of history for a certain module. If I am not mistaken there are now 2 versions of the kick, where extra lower sound is included in de the newer version. @robert, it would be nice to see on the module that it is a new instance also, because I want to buy the new kick also, but if I ever change the rack, then I could mistke the old with the new one..

Another +1 for keeping news like new modules off of Zuckerbook. Not only do you have no privacy there (which is why I won't use FB), I take extreme exception to Zuckerberg's actions, attitude, etc toward the platform's users. His "we are not arbiters of truth" take on Trump's tantrum about being fact-checked on Twitter really made my blood boil, and just made his face 25% more punchable, IMHO.

I thought the Sunrise page was fine. I guess one could just leave the categories away and simply have a list of modules that are being worked on. Wouldn’t have to be all modules even, because surprises are cool too. But a list at one official place on the website or forum would be nice (also not as Facebook fan).

The sunrise page made me smile, even more when modules came out totally not in sync with the rough roadmap there. My priorities shift in my DIY efforts even more so.

I agree that some indication of what's coming up is nice, especially if you're making your own modules. Doesn't need to be super detailed. I imagine it could be frustrating if Robert releases a module that does exactly what your brand new DIY module does and it took weeks of blood sweat and tears to build it. (Not a true story luckily, but it could happen right?)
Apart from this slight concern, I'm equally fine with an occasional teaser. Surprises and a bit of mystery are fun too.

Yet another good reason for having the Sunrise page again, I think. Plus, I LOVE the anticipation, waiting to see glimpses of the next amazing thing Willy Wonka...uh...Robert cooks up!
