With the low number of COVID cases and slowly ramping up of vaccinations I hope that we'll get more live events this year. I'll post the ones that I'm aware of here in this thread.
If you know of any other events, then please also post them here. Especially since I'm focused on the NSW and ACT scenes and not too familiar with what's happening anywhere else in Aus.

The Edu RACK series of modular synthesizers is designed specifically for schools and other organisations that work with children and young adults. It is a very affordable system which consists of variations of a modular synthesizer that can be extended to accommodate various learning outcomes. A curriculum is currently in development that will guide teachers on how to best engage youth in synth based workshops for music and STEM education.  Carsten Eckelmann from Mini Modular will present the system to an audience for the very first time and explain in detail how the modules were selected to make this system fun and instructional for youth of all ages.

Sapphire Electronic Music Society presents the Begavalley Synthfest - 21st of August 2021This will be a full day of workshops and presentations followed by live music performance 'til late. Australian Computer Music Association is running a series of events in Sydney, Melbourne and online from 26th - 28th of August 2021.While usually this is geared towards academia and computer music, this year they are opening this up to hardware at the Synthmoot on the 26th.
