Hi guys. Does anyone have info on a case that can be used to carry a 2-tier standard unit while it is patched? I am taking a vacation in early December (driving) and I would like to safely carry my AE with me.

For a small case the easiest are aluminium ones you could find in some to shop. Or old style briefcase. Might be better to get a cheap used one as you'll certainly will have to remove everything inside to be able to keep it patched...
For the 4x20, I'm just building one with Flyht Pro HSC Hard Shell Case "XL" from Thomann. I added a plastic L-shape fixed with strong double tape. I made holes so I can use the screw to lock the 4x20u to be able to remove it without having to redo the tap things every time I'll change a module like in my smaller bomb box... Everything, is tapped down. I almost got place for an Eyese as well but it is getting tight... Still need to put in better shape all the cables and the patch isn't even close to be finished but should be ready to play in less than a minute everywhere I'd go.

I use such case with my two 2x16 rack. Had to use some screws to secure the racks in the positions. I'm happy with the solution. I can carry it safely with patch cables and additional equipment (battery). Attachments:

I just bought lumber yesterday to make my own folding case for two 2x16 racks , I’ll report back once it’s finished but may be open to making more.

And just like tIB I made some space to fit all. But even without digging in the foam, I can transport the rack when patched. The cables aren't crushed.
Not sure if this model is large enough for you rack though.
