In the DIY section of the wiki, on this page : wiki.aemodular.com/pmwiki.php/AeDiy/PhysicalCharacteristics#PCBControls we can see the vertical position of the holes for the potentiometers in the panels, but not the horizontal. I have only modules with one column of pots and i measured the distance from the edge of the panel to the left edge of the pot hole to be 6 mm, and the diameter of the hole to be 7 mm (6.83??), so the center of the hole is 9.5 mm in from the left edge of the panel. Is this correct? And what is the horizontal position of the second row of holes ? Kind regards Mikael

They seem to be 15mm apart vertically (from a quick check with calipers) except in some cases where they need to be staggered for fit (such as the sequencer module).

Thanks, but what is the horizontal position from the left side of the panel for the center of the second column of pots?

hmmm, not sure. I only have modules with a single column, except for the seq16 module which has a staggered configuration so it would not be the same as for a module with two parallel columns.

Thanks, but what is the horizontal position from the left side of the panel for the center of the second column of pots? Mikael Hi, I have the following modules which are 2 unit wide: Nyle Filter, Master Module, Multi FX, Topograf and TRIQ164. Only the Nyle Filter and the MultiFX have two columns of pots and they are layed out differently. On the Nyle Filter the distance from the left side of the module to the centre of the second column of pots is 3cm. On the MultiFX the distance to the second column of pots is only 2.5cm. So I think there's no hard and fast rule of where things are placed on those modules. However I think that the MultiFX is a special case because Robert had to fit in the effects display, but with that narrow spacing one could potentially fit in 3 columns of pots. The most important standard is probably the vertical spacing of pots as this is consistent across all modules and most creates this overall uniform style of the AE Modular.

Awesome thanks.
This was kind of what i thought since thee was no measurements on the image in the DIY page.
I was mostly interested for aesthetic reasons :-)

Also, note the convention of keeping the knobs away from the patching headers - even though we still get lost in spaghetti once the patch gets deep.
