I would like to have a true sine wave oscillator, but the FMOS doesn't have fine tuning. Since I do a lot of quantized stuff, the fine tuner is vital. Would an FMOS plus a 2CVTOOL be the ticket or would it be better/cheaper to get the WaveTables module and call it a day?

It’s a common trick indeed to send a signal (like a static voltage to offset tuning) through two attenuators in series for finer control. So a 2CVTOOL should allow you to adjust the pitch more precisely.
