Great jam, you are on a roll. Do you aim for a jam a day?

Great jam, you are on a roll. Do you aim for a jam a day? Thank you! yeah th'ats the plan, one jam per day. It's a way to force myself to produce more and be more musical this year. I really want to do more music and not just as a hobbie once in a while as I used to do in the past. They're not complex things at all, just some noodling around to prouve me I can do it and stay motivated to work on music.
yesterday I got some more cables and USB cables so most of the synth in the sutdio wil be hook up via MIDI. and the ones without USB MIDI will be link via MIDI DIN to the ones with USB. i'll have to sort this ou more, but it shoudl be way more easy to work in sync with every instruments I have. yet, I still have an Akai S2000 and a Roland D-110 and U-220 that need some fixing and they'll be part of the studio. The goal would be to use the S2000 as a drum machine, but I'd like to have the card with the 8 direct out for that, but iot's a priecy thing for an old sampler like that, cost more than the sampler itself.
Another good thing is that I have Gate out on the Matrixbrute that I can use with the AEModular, only one issue, they are not close to eachother and I'm not sure I can work that way yet.

As I wrote in the Youtube comment: I would be very interested in a Jam where you combine the two synths I'll be sure to try that. I have no idea what may come out of this marriage between the AEM and the Matrixbrute, but it's on the todo list. Probably this week.

Update on the use of the Matrixbrute with the AE Modular.
It didn't turned out as I thought and ended up unsatisfed with it. The AEM was my first instrument and I had immense fun playing with it and got me more into music in general and it is priceless for me. However, I always struggle to incorporate the AEM with another instrument. I do not know why, but it's one of the hardest thing I come across when making music (that and not finding inspiration). Don't get me worng, I don't say the AEM is a bad instrument, far from it, but to me it tend more to be played on it's own than with other instrument. It probably need more work on my side, but it's how I feel.
Anyhow. I wanted to try the matrixbrute and the AEM together as suggested by duddex as there is CV ins and outs on the Brute, I could use that to trigger the AEM. The first idea was to use the Gate out to sync them both together, no problem with that. My second idea was to use the CV out of the first VCO on the Brute to controle one one the AEM to have another VCO aaaand it's where it didn't work as expected. I tuned my Oscillator on the AEM and the pitch tracking was off after a few notes, it couldn't stayed in tune, maybe I was playing to high notes on the brute, I don't know but it felt off and not very musical to me so I didn't used that idea. The second expoeriment was to use the Filter Cutoff on the Brute CV something on the AEM and it didn't worked at all. Then I tried to use an LFO on the AEM to Cv the cutoff from the Brute, and didn't worked either... At this point I was to throw everything to the window but got motivated by my girlfriend, and kept at it, doing something very simple but it worked.
In this jam the Matrixbrute only trigger the AEM and another CV was used with a filter making weird unexpected kind of bubblu sound, but couldn't get more of it...
I have to try it again, but not now as the brute and the AEM are not on the same place in the studio and I'm to lazy to move it around every now and then
Here is the jam if you want to give it a listen =>

And another one with the AEM!! More on the drony side this time.
I realised I have some issues with some modules, one of my LFO is acting weirdly and is changing speed without touching the pot. Solina has a switch that is stuck and some other minor things... I'll have to ask my personal repair guy m4vrick to check this out! (and i'm sure he'll be happy to have a big modular to play around for some time )
Also, the more I use the AEM, thje more i see myself only using modules I know to use, and rarerly use other. I need to change that!

Hi, hope I am not teaching to suck eggs but the Matrixbrute CV outs are 0-10V (and 1V per octave so you would soon go outside the 5V of the AE); I would suggest using only the lower end of the keyboard and see how that tracks, if you have the quantiser module you could try that to fix any pitch issues.... You should find they work OK via the 4I/O or the I/Os on the master module though, it's just when they go over 5V it will stop changing. The oscillator outs are -5 to +5 V so you could put them into the AE via the 4I/O etc but you will have silence half the time! The gate outs (and sync) are 5V so should work fine with the AE. The full information is in the specification section of the Matrixbrute user manual.
Please can you do a video of them working together when you have more success
I have to update with the info on the Matrixbrute now.

I'll have to try it again, but as far as i remember, using any of the Brute in/out on the modular did nothing at all. through the master i/o or the 4 i/o nothing worked. probably because i did something wrong, I don't know. Will try again one day. i'll be sure to try playing more lower notes.
