I find the labels in the DIP switch panel a bit confusing: on the left there is 1 to 8 and on the right there is +5V, +5V, CV, GATE, CTRL, CLOCK, START, STOP (i.e. 8 of the 10 bus signals). I first thought the 8 additional signals had something to do with it, because they are also labeled 1 to 8, but the MASTER module wiki page tells me the switches are simply for disabling certain bus signals.
Suggestion for the RACKLINK wiki page: it says:
Maybe this should also be mentioned on the RACKLINK page?
There is a use case I have in mind that is not listed. I think it is allowed, but just want to make sure:
- If you have a master module in one case and a power module in the other case, and would like the racklink to supply the MIDI signals, the 8 addition signals, and ground (in other words, everything except +5V).
What would happen if you have a master or power module in both cases and connect the cases with the racklink (and do not disable +5V). I suppose that would also work fine (and hence make the case above not an actual racklink use case)?
