Sounds from the 2x16 AE setup, all live recorded and CV generated within the system, joined by axoloti played via sensel morph, piped in by 2 signal amp. Twelve parts stitched into one, covering something of a middle ground between baeches and floating, for those of you who listened to my other AE modular based releases (and thanks again if you did!). therapyinterferingbehaviour.bandcamp.com/album/maenamFeel free to download for nothing if you like it - this is a follow on of sorts to my last release outside of the AE system, which if you are interested in what else I get up to can be found here. (I notice I find myself inspired by nature recently - this one is about rivers and the last one about forests) Anyhow, let me know what you make of it/them if you check them out, and thanks if you do.

Sweet! I’ll listen to it later! I find nature in general is really inspiring to me. Probably even more so during those lockdown times when living in a big city. Whenever I’m surrounded by nature I feel like there is a certain flow or some kind of energy that resonates with my body and mind a lot more than artificial concrete blocks (which can be inspiring too though). Nature is just so very diverse and constantly moving. You can basically zoom in from a wide landscape view of a buffalo herd into a square inch of a tree’s bark and find interconnected life all along the way. Ahem ... okay ... enough with the esoteric stuff now. Looking forward to hear your album

I live out in the sticks now after previously doing a combination of towns and cities - I love it and feel very lucky to be able to live where I do. It's interesting that the more time I spend out in the countryside here, the more I find myself thinking about my earlier travels and the nature encountered - been thinking about Borneo a lot recently (that's where I took the cover shot) and the period of my last release Sri Lanka (same in that one!). It's probably a result of the lockdown as you say - after many years of the world seeming like a much smaller place once again it feels huge again. I hope my kids get to enjoy travelling with the same freedom I was afforded.

Hey! great organic vibe you made on /kaahil. Is it AE also? Thanking you! No AE on that one, it's a live take of 3 other modular systems chirping away.

I've been wondering how the Buchla-style controller would work with AE.

I've been wondering how the Buchla-style controller would work with AE. it's just a simple mpe controller currently - I don't have any midi in the AE, so it's just controlling a couple of expressive patches on the axoloti, which are ran into the system and processed a little. I do have a little expert sleepers setup that I'm slowly learning which would open it up as a CV source - the morph is very configurable so you could have it sending all manner of voltages. It's probably not something I'm going to do anytime soon (with the AE system) but it could be done.
