Wanted to hit back to this thread, because today I FINALLY started with the Arduino for Musicians after saving this thread months ago.  (and after having an Arduino UNO sit in the drawer for about a year) Just finished the first two chapters, and so far I really enjoyed it. Thanks for the recommendation here! |

Hi....Since ARM runs over a billion cell phones on the planet it isn't going anyplace. Computer processor power goes from the 72Mhz chip (Cortex-M) utilized in the Maple board to multi-center at over 1Ghz with GPU like the iPad utilizes (CortexA). Advancement stages range from open source GCC/emacs to full business IDE.
Simply pick a chip that is adequately incredible and pair it for certain extras like 8 channel ADC/DAC to make an Eurorack dev unit. View a low force single center ARM that can do drifting point - a Cortex M4FP would be extraordinary.
