Multitrack recording of three tracks mit AE modular (mostly some S&H gimmicks using the 2OSC with different frequencies) plus one track Soma Lyra 8 moods. This time with some VST FX (compression, EQ, uhe Protoverb). The "bass pads" at around 1:30, 2:20 and 3:10 are not from the Lyra, they are a strange (probably: self-) resonating phaenomenon out of the MultiFX, maybe a result of the 2S&H triggering PAR1-3.

I like that, thank you for putting it up. Some very interesting ambiences, similar to what I have been trying to do with my modular. I was particularly interested that you're adding the SOMA Lyra in there as well. I have a secret hope that I can re-create at least some of what that synth can do when the DRONE63 module makes it through to release.
Thanks again.

The Soma Lyra is very unique, as is the AE modular … I could image that two DRONE63 combined with at least zwo LoFi-DELAYs and some LFOs, maybe intertwined via 4-4-MIXERs, could do the job. Depending on the price of Drone63 this really calls for a new case just for the nifty MetaDrone machine…

I've already filled at least one extra case (in my mind)...!!! Not helped by the offer of some modules for my upcoming birthday, combined with the interesting ones looming on the horizon. A Drone Generator would be a very interesting addition if it could be added to the setup and manipulated live to the mixer in addition to some other sounds.
I was really interested in the Lyra when I saw it come out. I had already created something vaguely similar (as yet unreleased) using various free VSTs and some interesting routing/effects processing (as that was all that I had) and that convinced me that I really had to do something in hardware at some point. Sadly, cost and space were against me - something in the AE Modular space solves both problems in one hit.

Some crazy patch, additional LFOing via 4I/O from two moog mothers (proof: it works). Maybe a little atonal, but after repeated listening it becomes somehow magical, to me, at least. Mostly internal effects, my beloved Lofi-Delay and the interesting "Glitch Delay" from the MultiFX module (in row). Some additional compression, EQing, reverb blending slowly in after around 20 seconds.

I really like this one. It shows that the little AR can seriously rumble! Almost like communicating with Arrival-like aliens ;-)
