Nice raw AEM. Stealing little bits of melody from the noise too. Great stuff!

This is one of the first things I 'discovered' when trying to synthesize a kick and make it cut through the mix on the AE, was the need to sidechain it otherwise it will get lost in your melody lines. Another proof that you can't have enough VCA's. I basically doubled up my ENV and VCA modules when I ordered my starter rack. And I ordered an extra set for my upcoming rack.

Exactly, VCA's and ENVs. I'm looking forward to more envelopes as I also like looping them and using them as LFOs with a lot of CV control. Sneak peek from the sketchbook: I'd love to make a 4 envelope, 1U module with Decay control only. Something to use for drums/percs/rhythmic sounds, and something to free up my other, more powerful envelopes for synth voices and more modulation! And enjoying what you bring to AE with your dark & experimental approach! Not every single one of them is my cup of tAE, but I enjoy how your pushing the envelope of what's possible

Talking about your envelope module it would be cool I you could set the direction of your envelopes to rising (Attack) or falling (Decay) and have a CV and an end of envelop trigger per envelope which would allow you to patch 2 of these envelopes as a classic A/D envelope or 4 individual sweeps (Attack or decay). Just an idea. this in combo with you 5 step module... is see possibilities.
