Ah, that's great - it seems that each country in the EU has slightly different rules?!

Here too, for the first time this year, I did not have to pay extra VAT for my UK (BioT) package.
It might be worth shooting a message to Steve from Thonk (Steve Thonk on fb), as he seems very friendly and keen to help anyone in the synth community, and I saw him posting about the new measures recently. I think he has a pretty good idea of how its going to impact small UK business.

Yes, I have seen their announcement, thank you All of the guidelines that I have seen assume that the business which is exporting to the EU is VAT registered, and I am not! (Thonk is of course). By registering for VAT I would have many more legal commitments, which I would rather avoid as they bring with them extra overheads and administration costs

I think that the only avenue open for me at the moment is to continue with the current setup, which unfortunately means EU customers (sometimes?) paying the VAT on import...

BHellgia, customers will always pay 21% vat and 15€ 'handling' charge I wonder what one has to do to become a package handler cause thats well paid 15€ per package.
