hello everyone i have ordered some coluor coded knobs but i have noticed it is hard to get the original black ones off, i dont want to use too much force for fear of damaging the precious modules ! does anyone have any ideas? thankyou everyone in advance

I ordered the ones that slip over the top which was a better fit for me to interchange.

Pliers. It feels like you need a lot of force to pull them off, but it's because the knobs are smooth. With a bit more grip they come off easily. As long as you don't yank them off with all your strength, the modules will be ok. If you don't want to scratch the original knobs, you can always use rubber-tipped pliers, or wrap some cloth around the knob.
