Not strictly DIY and AE related, but thought this was a good place to ask this question....
A couple of the 6.35mm sockets on my patchbay are crackly and/or don't always pass a clean signal. It is well over 10 years old and never had any maintenance - wouldn't know what to do! I have thought about buying some contact cleaner and spraying that in but don't want to do that if it's just a short term bodge. Your thoughts?

You could spray a little servisol in and repeatedly insert/remove. Or you could put some directly onto the jack and do the same. Deoxit is good too, but pricier.

Interesting. Have only done dusting but in general on the Ae side is this a good practice to do every one and again to keep Ae sockets in good working order. Cheers.
