Does any of you have any idea or any links to schematics to make a DIY distortion which would work with 5V from AE modular system?
Wanna make some heavy dirty sounds, so thought to run VCO to filter-->distortion/overdrive-->filter-->distortion-->mixer.
I love this website: effectslayouts.blogspot.com/ where people share their pcb layouts for various pedals with samples etc., super nice, but as all pedals - it requires 9V...
Or do you think I should go the easiest way - just boost up from 5V to 9V to run any sort of distortion module and then just check the final signal to make sure it's not too hot(?)
