I didn't ask for xmix and modulators, but it's something I need.

Hang on a minute, I'd just 'finished'my rack! First rule of AE Modular club: your rack is never finished!

I like the fact that AEmodular starts to think about smaller systems. Thanks for this.

Hang on a minute, I'd just 'finished'my rack! I feel your pain. I have one unit left in my 4x16, and I will 'need' another 2x16 rack to house all of those tasty digital modules and a proper mixer.

MODULATORS in particular looks very useful not just for small systems, but for anyone trying to make the most of their available space, even if they have a large rack. Really useful. I just counted up again and including the 3rd party makers we are very quickly closing in on 100 available modules! I think we're at 92 right now.
edit: ooh and just saw that the random CV has 3 different modes, great thinking!

o_C! Wow! I had no idea it would be ready so soon. Finally can explore new scales and temperaments.
Modulators will be useful in any rack. Sometimes I wish I had one extra LFO or EG. This is perfect.
It's Christmas all over again!

Hang on a minute, I'd just 'finished'my rack! First rule of AE Modular club: your rack is never finished! On a (semi) serious note I will finish it one day, as I have with other formats - once I get to the point where I can't lose anything within the size limit I've set (3x16) I'm done. Of course, I'd like to think a sample hold, noise and logic module will one day arrive, meaning I can keep streamlining it - the new mixer and modulation modules are a great add too which point to other space saving functions. The more functional density the better!

These little small condensed modules are amazing! Also excited about the o_C which I haven’t really researched very much but as someone who really digs the analogue oscillators any cv centered modules are a welcome addition.
Also, speaking as an American if we don’t have a t-shirt of something we really love then it’s as if we don’t even like it at all. I’m going to be sure to place one into my next order. As for case size I’d like to keep everything at 4x16 but we’ll see. I’m already getting cramped on room and I still have three Keurslager Kurt modules and Kyaa’s module that i gotta squeeze in there. Although I’m a big fan of Ninja style limitations and I think a 4x16 max with periodic module changes will be good for creativity.

I've also been watching this fellow making music with all these scales. Here's the Bolen Pierce scale, a 13 note scale equally divided over a 12th instead of an octave and his entire playlist:

I was so determined. I thought I'll hold off for now. I'll wait for the cirrus and I'll see how I'll feel about the TBD then. And now the OC gets released. I don't think I will be able to resist.

Good to read about Robert working on quality control/design as the AE gets more and more a serious instrument rather than a "kickstarter noise machine". The early modules are shown up by their replacements/younger siblings,

Will it do the same as the Eurorack? I mean, Will we be able to do as much as in these video with the AEM version? I haven't watch much but it seems quiet a big module!

Yes, it is the exact same firmware and will do all the things that the original module can do. Please be aware that there's the original firmware and then an alternative one called Hemispheres Suite. You can choose in the shop which one comes pre-installed, but you can also change it later yourself by loading it to the included Teensy board via a Micro USB cable.

An Æ o_C is a real step forward for the format. I can't wait to get it!
