Hope Antonia is feeling better! I understand the feeling of needing a break, life has been pretty full on here too (including Covid too, although i got off pretty light). Haven’t had much time for modular lately  Don’t push yourselves too hard! And awesome news about the volca mixer selling well! |

VMIX-10 is something the world was waiting for!!!!! i guess it is even hard to imagine what numbers could be sold with a 'proper' distribution deal! anyway, wise decision to take everything a little slower for now. we will need everybody at TANGIBLE WAVES healthy, happy and active for years to come! and that ?x%#* virus is nothing to play with...now, take a deep breath and relax deeply....everybody.

It's a sign of great success, I think  I realise this delays my order a bit, but ah well. (Feels like one of those 'stuck *as* traffic not *in* traffic' things.)
I saw the kickstarter five years ago. I didn't buy AE modular at the time, but I bought it now. Looking through the old news posts, the AE system has become a *lot* more appealing to me in the past six months -- actually, in the past two years as a whole.
It matters a lot to me that I get a *lot* of CV utilities / modulation, or else there's no point in a modular, so an AE system looks like much better value-for-money today than five years ago. Looking at the kickstarter, you got LFO, ENV, 2ATT/CV, 2VCA and a MIXER 4-4... but now I've ordered MODULATORS, 2ENV, 2CVTOOL, 4VCA, XMIX, etc.That's way, way more modular for the same size / similar priced case.... but I can also get a string machine with chord generator, and a quantizer, and the filter will be a polivox one, and the 2OSC has stable digital tuning, and it's all coming with beautiful black faceplates in a walnut-veneer case... AE is just in a far better place lately.
Anyway, I just want to say that you have earned it. The work, that is, not any possible break that may or may not be in your future >_> Good luck!

I love the whole AE thing too. I’m a little bummed that my modules won’t be black (don’t want to change) colors now. But I’m looking forward to the improved designs in any case. The tax man also took a bunch of my money (fu tax man) so this is another reason to hold off on my next two orders. We can all take a break from consuming and create and tend to our own lives for a while. When I was in Germany in 2007 (wonderful country, you should all be proud of your society) I was shocked that every place was closed on Sunday. Me being the consumer American we were like wtf I came to *shop* what’s up? Where is everybody? Of course everyone was at home enjoying friends and family which is how it should be. It’s good to slow down and regroup and relax and enjoy and think and imagine. That’s all great and I wish everyone at TW a restful and wonderful break. And we look forward to the rejuvenated TW. We love you guys :-)

Let this be the incentive to pay our respects to all the great work started by robertlanger and his team. What better way to do this than by producing tracks, jams, videos, ... and show the world what TW is all about. Once I get this nasty virus out of my own system new recordings will be made with the grey racks of wonder. Have a good Easter/Ishtar take care of yourselves and your loved ones stay healthy or get better. |

I re-read the blog post and I may have read it wrong. It sounds like they’re going to stop developing totally new modules. I thought they were saying they are going to stop manufacturing modules for a while completely. The gang could still be taking a short-ish break from manufacturing, but now I’m thinking probably not. Lol. I’ve been a bit pessimistic lately so that could explain my read of the situation. Whatever it is, we support you. Because we know you guys are doing your best and taking the care you need to take. Peace
