Please try the attached firmware files. I was able to integrate the different file system. This fw seemed stable, please test and let me know what you notice. You can replace the included .bin files (within the .zip) with what is in the tapp bin folder (i.e. the old firmware). Cheers

I'm away right now until later in the week but I'll put some time into it when back and cross my fingers. Thanks for the work - I'll update as soon as tested...

Here is yet another version, I think TBDings is a bit more performant here. I found issues with Rompler, if you pitch the voices very high and use dual mode and VecSynth. Please let me know how this one works for you compared with the other one.

Hi Robert, yesterdays version (Oct 16th 2023) works great for me, apart from the issue with Rompler/Vecsynth you also mentioned.
But: todays version does not work for me at all: Eternal (reboot?)-loop and lots of errors printed to the shell, stuff like "ram-issues, driver depricated" and alike, maybe you have a more recent hardware (ESP32 WROOM SoC or different DAC or the setup is for some reason for Eurorack and not AEM?), so that it's working with your TBD-module?

Try the 5.1.1_v2 first.

Works perfectly fine for me (used with a current song), apart from the known issue with Rompler/Vecsynt

I have another version, where Rompler/Vecsynth work much better, I think. Pls test this one.

First impressions are good here - I've not gone too mad trying to break it yet, but it's working fine so far (and interestingly much better with the android app in that the scroll/setting loss so far hasn't been an issue). I'll update later when Ive had more time - fingers crossed and thanks for the work.

Actually that's not the case with the android app, though I'm ignoring that as its likely an issue with the app rather than the TBD.

So I've been fussing with it for about three hours all in - no lock ups, reboots or lost presets so far...
I'm going to do some programming via the tapp and get both set up how I want them in the coming days - it's very promising so far...
Thanks again for the work - really hoping you've nailed it here.

I tried the newest version now quite a bit - all in all it's working great so far. VctrSnt seemingly still is having some glitches, but it's usable again. Especially if not all features are used at once, it's working quite alright. All the other plugins I tried out seem to work as supposed. I also tried quite a bit mapping CVs and Triggers and using a keyboard via MIDI through AE Modular's Master-Module.
There is one thing with the Web GUI though, I noticed, especially with plugins that make use of many parameters (like VctrSnt for instance). If you don't explicitly load a preset, so that the default one is used, it often happens that when you switch to edit-mode, the screen will stay white. Sometimes, when you try again it works, sometimes it never works. But if you then select a preset instead of relying on the default, it will work almost every time and much quicker.
So if that's not mendable under the current conditions, at least there seems to be a bypass-solution. Of course there may be other factors intervening here, like my browser (Firefox), or whatever?

Hoping to find some more time for more testing/playing over the next week... I'll report back with how stable things have been.

Ok so getting some weirdness with that last update - everything was fine until I tried karplus, then I got stuck in a boot loop and while I can recall patches from external device, using the module means it can't see anything past patch 3 and goes back into a reboot.

Couldnt get it to recognise any presets after number 3 - which is the one it broke on when loading karplus - so reflashed, uploaded the same all.jsn and same issues occured in that I couldn't recall from the unit but could from the computer.
Worse than that I've then lost subotnik saves on two stored patches - presets gone, back to blank patch and weirdly the all file doesn't restore it.

Tried again after a flash erase, just to see if the preset recall past #3 is fixed... It isn't, and the subot presets are still broken.

Back to it today - I managed to salvage a handful of the patches I'd made and have made a new all file with some others... Seems the loss of settings is probably due to the boot loop that broke it last time. Hoping that's the case as save wise, things have felt more stable up to that point... I'd really like to be at the point where I can settle on the ten presets and, occasional minor edits aside, just recall from the unit.
One other thing I've noticed on this new firmware is that the pots are the opposite way around sometimes in certain presets, in that when I assign and use full on = full off. I'll try to check that more...

Hi, sorry to hear of these issues.
I'll try to reproduce your issue.

Hi, sorry to hear of these issues. I'll try to reproduce your issue. Worth checking in with Mathias if you haven't already - he has the all file which was generated after the first boot loop crash. It's probably subsequent crashes that's caused the loss of the subot patches.

Hi Andy, tIB just a little update: in preparation of testing your all.jsn (which indeed I also have forwarded to Robert M.) I tried to save my settings but ran into an issue myself. Currently this is not working with my setup and I now also have lost all my recent presets, because of a reboot - but this was not an eternal one. Because I was working tethered to my computer, I could at least save the error-messages from the shell. I also had a look at your all.jsn with a JASON-editor but could not spot anything peculiar. For instance automatic formatting works without any problems, so there are no apparent syntax errors or similar flaws in there.
Anyways, I'll flash the TBD from scratch again and will try again with your all.jsn, will keep you updated in case there are new results.

Guess I found an intermediate bypass solution for your issue, tIB
I restored your "all.jsn" to my TBD without any problems and could exactly reproduce your issue, that the TBD boots if I then select a favourite above 3 on the device itself. Then I replaced the Favourite No 4 with a different preset and the issue is gone. Of course this is not a proper solution, so Robert and I are looking into this more deeply, but I guess we could be on the right track to find a fix, can't promise anything, though...

Ah, interesting - assume those subot presets are empty still though? I set about making another set with what I salvaged from the individual exports, but that's worth knowing in case it happens again.

Hope that being able to get the error messages leads somewhere... When not using the computer today mine have been stable again - fingers crossed they stay that way, though I already know I need to make a few adjustments to the set of ten... They really are terrific modules when working correctly. I hope they can become stable.

I set about making another set with what I salvaged from the individual exports, but that's worth knowing in case it happens again. Yes, the Subbotnik-Favorite points to a Subbotnik-Preset (#6) that was not part of your "all.jsn" (any more?) - sorry for that, but thus it can't be restored. To make sure if all presets are gone, you may have a look/listen at the individual presets, but I am afraid those are (more or less) the "factory-presets"?
