Hi everyone, I need some advice please. Has anybody experienced bleed over from the channels in the mix console and is this standard or have I got a slightly broken mixer? I don’t know if it’s because I’m going straight in to the mix console with 4 different sounds (drums on one, wavetables on another and two sequences on the other)? When all the channel volumes are turned down and the main channel volume is up halfway I can hear them bleeding through. Also if I have just the drums up I can hear the other 3 channels. Is this common or is my mixer damaged? I am also having a really bad noise on the outputs too. I’m using two mono 3.5mm jacks going to a stereo jack, going into a zoom h2n and listening on AKG closed back headphones. Any advice or help will be most appreciated, I’m a noob with ae, I read the module manual first and tried to find YouTube videos but couldn’t find any info. Tia for any info or possible causes- Meshed09

Hi, thank you for replying, I really appreciate it. I did think something wasn’t right when I was watching AE YouTube videos and all the sound seemed to be extremely good on them all. Yes I’ll contact TW and see what my next step is. Thanks again.

does the mixconsole still bleed if you don't patch the drum101 module into it
the reason i ask is that i had some bleeding in the 4attmix fader with the drm101 until i made the soldering fix to it. i'll find the fix thread if it relates

What I didn’t realise before that there was this clicking sound in time with the envelope that was also bleeding over. I unplugged the envelope and went into a different one and the clicking has stopped. The bleed over seems to be loudest on channel 1, but this could be a pitch thing as it’s a much higher frequency than a couple of other inputs. I also turned the master volume up wondering if that would make a difference but sadly the bleed just got louder also. So, it seems to be a faulty envelope, and 1 channel bad. I will try a recording tomorrow and see how that goes. Thank you for the info re drum, at least I can rule that out.

does sound faulty if the bleeding continued and clicking stops when changing inputs.
try turning the attack up on the envelope to see if it gets rid of the clicking so you can use it in the meantime until it gets fixed

I will try turning the attack up and see what happens. Thanks again for all the suggestions, it helps a lot to have some different and more informed perspectives of what might be happening with these modules. I thought as a work around that maybe getting the mute switches module and cutting off other sounds before it reaches the noisy mixer inputs 🤔

Thanks for the advice and solving my envelope problem. Still a bleed over from the mixer, but I can digest that more easily than thinking I have to replace/get repaired another module. 😅

awesome, glad the envelope is good now
the 6mute could be a work around so you cut the effected sound until you need it to enter the arena. maybe get the mixer fixed and get a 6mute anyway, it is fun to play with.

Lol, yes, I agree, I’m thinking on maybe just getting a new mixer as the price to send this to be repaired then the cost of repair it’ll probably be about the same as buying a new one. I’m waiting on an order from TW at the moment, so once that is delivered I’ll put in an order for the 6mute 😉😀

Than I can hear the Springreverb through the mix-module (all parameters on 0).

It is possible your high resonance is just overloading the circuitry - just reducing that remove the bleeding problem?
