a quick exploration of my new setup, where im trying to integrate a few things...
AE modular as the base, with Virus TI for the 'organ' sound and a bit of ITB reverb (vahalla vintage verb).
this was a bit of exploration into integrating things....
using a the channel sequencer into AEM via patch wires, this led into exploring how to tune the AEM oscillators to each other, also their scaling ... quite a bit more to do here (how to use the accurate tuning range best... calibrate in different octaves?)
clock sync/triggers - using the channel as sync source via cv, how to get some more triggers - I managed here to get 3 triggers , 1 from channel, 2 from pyramid (1 midi + 1 cv)
the integration worked well, (only a slight pitch shift when you start multi'ing pitch cv - i guess because its passive)
and i think with this approach, with some tweaking lead to more variation... perhaps some how transposing the 8 step cv pitch sequence, definitely something to explore.
some details...
Squarp Pyramid
------------------
getting CV clock from Motion, and sends (just) triggers to AEM Modular, one via Midi, one via CV
Eurorack
---------
Mescaline Motion - providing the pitch sequencer and clock, this is fed to AEM Eurorack, via patch wires, and also clock to the Squarp Pyramid (CV)
Mescaline Channel - being used as a oscillator fed into AEM Eurorack (via audio patchwire)
Field Kit & FX - used for audio mixing/ and fix (spring tank/ modulated delay)
AEM - mults pitch from motion, to AEM modular, use ENV for channel, then simple voice (vco/filter/vca/lfo/env)
AEM modular
--------------
3 voices here, with switch being used to get some variation
Where to next?
however, I think ive a better idea
use the pyramid as the main sequencers, sending 4 channels of midi, and 1 channel of cv
Ive a bela salt (not used here) , this could be used as a midi -> cv interface, it could do 8cv and 4 trigs (so Im thinking pitch/gate/velocity)
AEM Eurorack has 2 cv (master) + 4IO (cv) , AEM Modular has 2cv (master), so thats 4 pitch/gate
Then use the other CV (and clock) for eurorack, including Mescaline, which can still forward cv via patchwires.
... oh, and still got a midi channel spare, into AEM modular.
anyway, all a bit of fun, and was great to see how easy it is to integrate AEM with both Eurorack and other patchwires systems.
