Happy tree greeting to you all, I hope you are all doing well. It seems like the house is running empty for the turkey season, everybody is eating and patching away? If anybody is up for some delicious layer cake building I'm game. You can guess by now what ingredients I would bring to the table so don't get your hopes too high on German shlager or Finnish Polka since I'm not very into those genres.

Great idea! bumping this. Although I'm going to have to stay out of it for now.
Hopefully this Finnish Polka gets going as we'll have to work off our holiday curves.
One thing I learned from my attempt and something that was requested in one of the zooms is to put an end date on these types of collab requests.
Would be cool if something like this does gain momentum as it would be a fun result

I'm currently working on lounge piano versions of cult goth classics. I'm not sure it's going to go down well though. Such great passion and longing, being reduxed in a lounge cabaret stylee.

Hi Pol,
This track is finished and sent of to maydonpoliris. But I'm sure there will be more opportunities for a collab. I'll let Dan give the honors to do the official release since he is the orginator of this track. But there is still so much source material in left in his original sample that I did not use so I might try to make another track and send that of to you one I've done my part with it. |

Have listened to the final piece from Pt3r and it really is a cracker I'll have to get a vid together though of course and will release it. Would be so cool to see something that pt3r does head out to pol 101 and @waperwave I also think that Cure sound would fit perfectly 101 |

Maybe. The time I did it before was without stems, and it worked fine. Both paths might give a different kinda approach, stemless being making constant additions, and with stems maybe being more like rearranging everyones performances each time. The latter might make each pass more different, which might not be a bad thing? Anyways I'm sending it forward now.

I layered 5th volts wav from his bandcamp with a bit of guitar and it turned out well. (shameless punt here)  But for lots of contributors keeping all in separate wavs. If its all stems (and everyone uses the same DAW) then it just needs a final mixdown then mastering at the end of the chain. Reaper seems pretty alright as a DAW and is free-ish. If it's all stems you can also do a bit of ducking and keying in the master. Just saying is all. Wav layering is good too. Maybe the above is a bit of a mega project. I've always like Slowscape and Four57 collabs. |

thanks for sharing these 101 hadn't seen yours before and it did turn out well. Agree that slowscape and Four57 was great also. Proves that its worth going back through all of the Music uploads as there is a lot of quality music there right from the beginning. Stems is a good idea too I guess the wavs are easier for daw illiterate's like myself but I'm up for learning anything if it's the way some of the collabs go. It might bring in more that like using Daw's stems etc too |

I'm done adding my part, was tougher than I expected but I'm ok with the result. Hope it sounds good to other people too  . I'm ready to send it to other anyone who wants it (either as a single file or as the original along with my contribution as a separate wav file). I can also export my part as a stem too if we want to go that route, just let me know (BTW I used Bitwig but I guess it doesn't really matter much as long as all the stems are exported at the same bit depth and rate). |
