I am wondering how many synthesists control their AEmodular over midi.
Edit: I using midi both with the Polyend Tracker as and the 1010 Blackbox which also can record/play back CV signals.

I voted no, as i currently have only one MIDI device an AKAI controller that my son use with an iPad. It has only USB midi, so it is not relevant in an AE context.

I still didn't get around to use midi with my system, I have a few trackers and controllers that I will plug in and give it a shot at some point but I'm still learning how far I can push my system without external inputs 😁

I voted yes as I have used the Monostation and Norns to Ae via midi. It's something I don't generally do and haven't done in a while. I seem to prefer going midi out from the Ae via the Arduino workaround.

Absolutely yes, I have my AE hooked up via MIDI to Reaper all the time for adding modular parts to other productions that are more software based

Na, I don't have any MIDI devices.

I was using midi a lot but since acquiring an MPC1 I use its CV/gate outs more

Yes. It's mostly about having a time synchronisation, but sometimes I also use it so sequence via DAW instead of SEQ8/16 and then I sometimes use the SEQs for modulations. On my eurorack I also have MIDI via a Vermona qMI2. And I would pay for a AE module that can receive more than one channel (four ) and more than one cc (qMI2: 4 x V/Oct + CV1 + CV2 + Gate)

Yes! I like to use the arturia keystep MIDI to be able to play some melodies ;-) (to be able to touch the sound!), also for synchronisation between the AEModular with MIDI clock and Pocket Operators thanks to Sync output of the arturia keyboard ;-)

Definitely.
I'm largely making music in my DAW and the AE is there to provide some crazy sounds that my soft synths can't or won't be persuaded to make. So far I've just done some experiments, but this year I'll be recording more tracks from hardware into full compositions.

I haven't use midi with AE YET, but it is definitely something I plan to use... I tried it once and couldn't get it work and didn't have time to troubleshoot it, so I fell back on CV gate, which is also fun! So I'm not sure how to vote... 😂

I must admit that I use my midi in a very inappropriate mode, using note values as just another cv to control my modules. but hey midi is midi, still have to dig into the using cc20 to check the ctrl cv.
