That looks tempting. I am starting to frankenstein together some old senheiser and AKG phones I fished out of rubbish bins at a lab many years ago.
I found that you can buy cheap replacement cables from China, even with built-in microphone - much easier than trying to solder a new plug on those flimsy enameled wires!
