Hi all, It took me a while, but I finally made something new 😁 I've been trying to incorporate other synths with my AE lately and also sequence some things using MIDI. Nothing fancy, just my Deluge controlling AE with some extra sounds from its internal synths. Took me a while to figure it out but I'm pretty happy with the results, it's a bit more "structured" than the generative ambient tracks I usually make (although not by much 😉). Hope you like it,

I think this is very beautiful and very nicely mixed between the Deluge and the AE. It's challenging to fit the AE in with other instruments because the pitch tracking can be a bit temperamental and it has such a distinctive sound. But you pulled it off really well!

That sounds very nicely balanced, you really managed to blend the different voices together, both level and sound wise. The approach I like to use is to route all different voices to a common effect, like a reverb, on the end of the signal path before going into my zoom recorder.

Thanks to both you 😊 It's kind of hard to get things to mesh together correctly indeed. I undid my patch a couple times until I found something that work well but it was a fun experience. I often find that the nature of AE is that it leads to unexpected results (in a good way 😁) if you're not dead set on a specific sound. pt3r it's what I did indeed, I sent the whole mix out of the Deluge into a compressor then a reverb (something quite small, to simulate all the instruments being played in the same room) and finally an EQ

Really lovely! As Carsten said it can sometimes be a challenge getting the AE to blend, but this is wonderful! Would love to hear more like this
