This is my practice session for another open mic night at a local (Salt Lake City, Utah USA) synth meetup. I was watching some Noam Chomsky interviews and thought he had some delightfully positive things to say about the future and thought it was pertinent considering climate change is causing the Great Salt Lake to dry up which would make the city unlivable, and cause extreme environmental catastrophe for flora and fauna. Samples and AEmodular processed through an SP404 mkII for FX. Rains is in there backing up the 2OSC. I hade the whole thing patched before I got the modules and was so excited to use it (it is beautiful) but was not excited to re-patch! It's a bit long but... I can't help it!

Technology singing humanity’s demise… fittingly distopian and disturbing in equal parts.

awesome! Just watched over on Youtube, would love to hear more like this Thanks! I have a few slightly less heavy/dark pieces on YT (and here) but will be producing more in a few weeks. I am in the process of moving so going with that theme I'm going to take my AE modular apart and rearrange the modules for more inspiration.

Ah I love me some healthy doses of black/sludge/doom as my own output might already have indicated. I'm very fond of a bHellgian band called Wiegedood. They're proper vantablack but without the ridiculous corpsepaint and the leatherstudded bracelets. Was it you who mentioned the name of some obscure black metal (solo)band that was on hard to find an also linked to some NS rumours? I have been looking for audio material but to no avail.

I like Wiegedood (can't find bHellgian) thanks! The black metal garb can be off-putting but I also find it hilarious (probably not what they are intending). That may have been me. I hate it when I find a band that I like the sound of only to find out NS connections. I know Death Spell Omega has been tied to it from their session vocalist but it's not in their music. Some of my current favorites: Morkera, Skrying Mirror, Gris.
