Can't get enough of this setup. VCase AE Modular and 5 Moons recorder again. Wanted to try a phasing experiment, as described by the oldschool minimalists. Set up the FMOS with the RBSS + Quantizer to do a simple 8 step sequence, recorded this sequence three times in different loops, with slight timbre shifts (this avoided true 'phasing issues', where volumes drop out completely because the waves were exactly the same but just inverted at some points in time). I play with the volumes of these three loops to accentuate different timbres and rhythms, while the three loops sloooowly drift out of phase. Barely noticeable at the first 20sec, but after 1 min there is this nice rhythm that comes out of the drift! Added to this there are some more Cirrus experiments. Cirrus in 'resonator' mode is provide some plucky/string-y sounds, excited by the Wonkystuff rimshot it gives a nice chord. I play with the feedback knob to get some elongated, distorted tails as well. In the background there is a drone/noise 'chord' create with Cirrus in 'spectral' mode. And at last there are also a few sparse FMOS notes panned L/R created through classic Cirrus granular resampling. on.soundcloud.com/6UxfN
