This has recently dropped in price in the UK, and is a steal to get the Moog sound... It also has patch points.... My question is has anyone used one in conjunction with their AE? I know there are issues with the voltages Moog uses but the 4 I/O would protect our precious. 😁
A video would be brilliant if possible...

Right, not actually hooked up with my AE yet, but knowing the Mavis is Eurorack compatible I thought there would be issues - still usable together however, just have to use the 4I/O or the I/Os in the power/master modules....
The gate outputs are fine as 5V; there are a lot that are -5V to +5V so we can use half the range. There are 2 patchbay outputs that are 0-8V so can use some of it, 2 that are -8V to +8V so can use a bit and 2 are -10V to +10V so can only use a small amount. I'll update the external gear page in the wiki when the move is complete. I can update for the Cr8 Audio West Pest as well as bought that last year .
Just in case you are curious, I haven't bought Mavis just for the AE; it's more to be controlled from my MPC1, and hook up patch bays with my Neutron and West Pest .

Right, having now used my Mavis quite a bit (inc. 1 completed song ) I think I can report back. I don't feel it's that good a sound, certainly nowhere near as nice as the Minitaur I also own, not as good bass or filter. The patch bay is brilliant though, and just begs to be messed with, I've used it to enchance my Neutron & West Pest as it has a mini-mixer, attentuators and other fun stuff readily available. I feel the Neutron is a much better adjunct to the AE, although there are still voltage matching issues it sounds better (to these ears) and has even more patch points. I mention it as almost the same price as the Mavis now. Both can go in Eurorack as well if that's your bag....

I had the behringer crave for a while and kind of liked it. Slightly thicker sound than the AE, which was quite a nice mix together. Sequencer was good. Might get one again, though the Edge looks good too.
Tempted by the DFAM of course, though to midi-fy that is expensive. The DFAM has quite a few 5 volt ins and outs. I think the trigger iinput is 5 volts on a DFAM and so is ADV / CLOCK (SEQUENCER STEP ADVANCE / CLOCK INPUT). According to the manual. Whether the AE has enough power to drive it is another matter.
Would be pretty cool to drive a DFAM from the Topograf. Bit of an expensive gamble though.
