Hello everyone and in particular robertlanger Just noticed a small issue with earlier versions of the Power Module. I know there is a new ‘stereo’ version coming, and i’ll be getting at least one of those ;-) meantime I was setting up a small 1 row 12u case for some ‘feedback’ experiments , and i wanted to have stereo out . at first I used my older Power Module - v1.2 with the big heat sink ( see pics ). normally i have used with stereo headphones and one mono input and it all was fine BUT this time I wanted stereo and used a split 2 mono 3.5 to 3.5mm stereo cable and plugged each mono cable into an input .. it seems in this version the right hand stereo ‘headphone switchable’ socket is not compatible with a mono plug!! whichever way you switch it .. in fact i could just about use it by pulling the plug out a certain distance but it was not very stable and touching it made crackles! I swapped the module out for another i had in a 2 row x 12 case ... this time a version 1.4 , this version worked perfectly ( and NO big heatsink for some reason? ) my question ( mainly to Robert ). is there a diy , soldering iron fix i can do on the older 1.2 version to make it work ok with mono plugs in the right hand socket? stereo cable ONLY in right hand socket v1.2 v1.4 ALL GOOD! 2 mono outs to stereo aok.
