I took my Volca sized AE with me on holiday, together with a power bank and the Five Moons recording device. Recorded this track at the sea, trying to recreate the sounds and moods using strictly AE (no imported sounds or samples). The sea/waves are done with Cirrus, some LFO magic and the white noise from the micro module (S&H i think?). High note(s) is FMOS, low drone note is done with Cirrus in Spectral Clouds mode. Plucky sounds are the Karplus mode on Cirrus. They were all layered using the Five Moons.

This is awesome!! and a really great advert for what can be done with CIRRUS Funnily enough, i stopped listening to some doom metal to put this on, then got distracted, and for a moment i thought it was some epic intro to a track on the album i'd just been playing. So you definitely captured an atmosphere!

So you definitely captured an atmosphere! Thanks!! Cirrus is a perfect sea-recreation tool yeah haha. Have been really enjoying it's alternate lately as well. Since i have the quick reference sheet printed out from the wiki, that makes all the difference. The sound of the sea still astounds me. These huge Waves of white noise with a deep thunderous undercurrent, yet it feels soothing as a sound in the end? A weird thing of human nature to feel that as soothing haha. And it's LOUD!
