Okay, this is a first pass and as I don't actually have a Samplyr module yet I haven't tested anything, but here you go. Many samples, including drum machines, breaks, and some random other stuff converted to 8-bit 16k mono wav files. I make no guarantees that these won't crash your module, because I haven't tested anything yet, but if you're looking for sounds, these should work. www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/l6i3ttmi9kwss36q1nijp/h?rlkey=fiv38p9gkttee3rh88aoxohp0&dl=0The zip file is everything in the directory. None of it is particularly well-organized aside from the huge drum machine archive. YMMV. Once I have a samplyr I'll start putting together kits, but this should be a start for people who don't want to convert their own.

Ooh I will definitely have a listen. Did you encode them Alaw or Ulaw? So far it seems like ALAW is the best sounding for drumbreak due to the big variation in dynamics.

They were passed through from whatever they were.
I can pretty easily re-encode with alaw if it seems worthwhile. It's just a shell command. 8)

It's syncing right now (and may take like an hour) but I uploaded a full batch converted using ulaw and a full batch converted using alaw. I didn't zip them, but I think dropbox will do bulk downloads if you really want.

Are these in uLaw or are they linear?

The unlabeled directory is whatever the originals were-- likely linear PCM.
There are now 2 directories with the whole batch in ulaw and alaw as well.
They were converted with sox $input -b 8 -r 16k -c 1 -e mu-law $output.wav
sox attempts to identify the input file type, and I haven't had a chance to do more than spot check a couple of re-encoded files, so there might be weird junk in there. If something looks cool but doesn't seem to work right, I can check it. There are some files that are pretty close to just noise anyway ("sack of hammers" is a sack of hammers being dropped down some stairs, for example).

Just downloaded, many thanks for sharing, I think I've found someone who like drum samples even more than me!
