I have added MEMOIR to my GRAINS repository. MEMOIR records between 4 and 32 seconds of real-time simultaneous CV and Gate/Trigger information and plays both tracks back when triggered. As there is a fixed amount of memory, the rate chosen also determines the resolution (longer times are more choppy). The result is saved to EEPROM and survives power-cycling. WARNING: I have done my level best to make sure that the EEPROM is only saved once after recording, and have a few safeguards, but if MEMOIR goes beserk and writes to the EEPROM a million times and burns it out, do not hold me responsible. It won't happen though.

This sounds really interesting not sure how important it is to save the recorded data to eeprom, it could be used like a cv looper pedal during a performance. It would imo be even more useful if you could the recording make clock synced, but unfortunately the current grains does provide enoug inputs for that afaik.

It would imo be even more useful if you could the recording make clock synced, but unfortunately the current grains does provide enoug inputs for that afaik. GRAINS provides one CV out, but I have several CV in, so it's theoretically possible to record while simultaneously playing something else. The question, I guess, would be, if you've recorded in X while playing Y, what do you then do? Do you replace Y with X? Do you add or average the two CV signals? And how do you know you got X right -- you can't get feedback while recording X because Y is playing.
If you could think of answers to questions like these, it'd be pretty easy to modify the firmware...

you could the third pot to signal whether you are recording or playing back left from middle position is record right from middle position is playback.
