This weekend I've been out at a friend's place in the Santa Cruz Mountains in California, watching local bands play and sort of generally jamming around with a little AE modular. The friend who runs the lasers and I have been talking about how to hook up modular gear to the Radiator laser controller, and I finally got a chance to show off what I'd been doing.
Sadly, there's not a lot of video as of today. It's pretty hard to get decent video and my hands were occupied. But here's a photo as I mess with my 16x2 portable rack:
I'm going to see if we play again tonight and I can get video, but it'll depend (I was up very late last night and tonight's band may go long). This is the portable rig, though, or at least the sound-related bits of it.

Do you have sounds of your performance?

A little, but it's kind of hard to get video while doing stuff... I'll see if I can figure out how to attach video, but probably tomorrow.

This is what I ended up doing after the main band played-- we set up the lasers and linked in some stuff from the modular and I played sort of chilled-out ambient stuff for an hour or so.
Weirdly, my Topograf reset itself to 24ppqn (instead of the more useful 4ppqn) mode, so it was significantly more chilled and a little more syncopated than originally planned, but it was cool. It wasn't really an ideal time for 4 on the floor beats... 8)
Then in the morning, after breakfast, I set up again and did a little morning chill jamming while people wandered in and out on the laser deck.
About 45 minutes of this, plus a few demos of various bits and showing off, and I packed it up for the Sunday afternoon band to play.
The guy messing with the TB3 was a trained opera singer(!) who had lived in Berlin and was FASCINATED by the cutoff and resonance knobs... He had a nice time programming little TB3 lines and messing with them while I did the ambience bits.
Overall, a nice weekend, and people seemed to enjoy the ambient jams and morning beats.

Funny you pointed out the issues with topograf cause we would not have heard it. Sounded really nice an chill, must’ve beenvery cool experience it live.

Yeah, I noticed it while playing when I tried to step up the hihats a little and realized they were playing very very seldomly and the kick was weirdly offset from everything else. But it was already so slow and throbby it worked out. I fixed it for the morning jam, which had a whole different vibe.
