A good friend showed me his technique of putting two different waveforms into the lp and bp of a steiner parker filter and then ramping up the resonance to just before it breaks up, and I finally got a chance to get it together for this one. This is the kind of thing I've been wanting to do sound-wise for a while, nice to have a good place to be starting from. I modded an old Yamaha MC1202 mixing desk to have post-fader direct outs, and wow having per-channel eq is a dream!

I have an impression I haven't explored Nyle filter enough (although I frequently use it's amazing resonance as a powerful spice) so I'll check this idea. Thanx for the inspiration

It's the first time I've really liked the sound of it, it was nice to find where I like it dialed in..

What a nice sound, and awesome visuals to accompany! I finally took some footage while I recorded the pass, and then promptly destroyed it trying to change the format so I could put it into Live to sync up. Next time I'll get in there with a succulent and really hit those classic ambient modular youtube visuals.

I have a few cactii out on the balcony so shouldn't be too hard...
Thanks for sharing this technique too. I'll definitely try that once I can let go of the massive-but-not-great-sounding patch I've been working on all week. It's nearly time to pull out the wires and start again.
