Just a post to declare my unconditional love to one of the "weirder" modules in the AE modular. This quirky module shows up in 99% of my patches to summon the voice of long forgotten eldritch horrors or to make instant bubbly acid bass lines (try algoritm 58 and see for yourself), or sonar bleeps to give you Das Boot flashbacks. This module alone is one of the reasons that AE modular is my mainstay in sound design. On top of that Algdrone provide you with solid clock pulse to sync its output to your sequencer modules or other envelopes...

Great to hear, thanks! I'm especially happy to hear that the clock output is useful; what you describe is exactly what I was thinking back then. As the ALGODRONE spits out rhythmical structures, it makes sense to have the base of this rhythm available.

So i’ve never been entirely sure about the randomizer stuff .. i really must get an up to date revision version to compare and see if i’m missing out on some of the excitement!

Algodrone for the win!!! It truely makes sounds which I have not yet heard in any of my other boxes. My main use for it has been to generate industrial, wonky percs using a short envelope. But I'm always amazed of it's percussive abilities even without envelopes when it is droning away. A true one-of-a-kind module that i'll never grow tired of.

I've been looking to expand my granular synthesis a bit. I'm thinking ALGODRONE, RAINS & CIRRUS would make quite a nice granular synth voice.

I have basically one patch that I run on my grains module which is a modified grains patch for which I added a few extra byte beats, I made it 2 years ago and never changed it since. But I really recommend algodrone for all its grainy goodness and sonic/patchable capabilities.
