Hello,
I had some time to myself thanks to the holidays so I sat down at my modular and decided that I had to record something before I needed to pack it up again. This is my first attempt at this kind of thing, gotta start somewhere Sound is 100% AE Modular, one take, no postprocessing whatsoever. Interestingly I make use of every single module I have in my rack at the moment.

Gaëtan great start! I like the funky rhythm and main melody, and the somewhat dirty sound. Cool!

This is an awesome track with some really fat sounds. Now I have to explore those rhythms a bit more. The TRIQ164 can do cool things with the 4 channels!

The TRIQ64 is indeed awesome ! I used 3 tracks from it : one to sample and hold the main melody for the bass line, one to trigger the envelope of the bass line, and one to trigger the sort of kick. The sort of snare drum is actually triggered by the logic module using the triggers for the kick and the bass.

Nice work! I'm curious how you managed to control the pitch of the bassline using the TRIQ164. As far as I'm aware, theres no way to directly affect pitch with trigger signals. Am I wrong?

You're right, the TRIQ64 only sends triggers, so here's how I patch it : I patch the CV from the SEQ16 into the input of a Sample & Hold, and Channel 1 from the TRIQ64 into the trigger input of that same S&H. That way, I get a second melody, that I use for bass. Then I use Channel 2 of the TRIQ64 to trigger the envelope of the bass line. Simple !

Very nice piece of work, even your avatar seems to be in Sync Funky, a little Jan Hammer stylish I think, makes it a very nice track..
