Hi guys,
Been a while since I came back to the board, but here I am again. I'm getting into the DIY scene, but still am a dummie. I have some ideas though for modules.
The first one I would like to share is the idea of having a module with 4 piezo triggers that could be used to trigger the envelopes f.e. This way the modular gets a more "humanized" vibe when triggering things with the help of these piezo triggers.
Only thing is; I can imagine the piezo's needs to be able to trigger the 5v gates(?). Anybody skilled enough to share a schematic that could do this? I'm able to build schematics and would like to give this design a go.

Hello! I like the idea and I think it could mate very well with the 3-bit binary keyboard Nightmachines made (if i understood well). Associated with 3vc switch and or vca to put the audio on and off it could be used to trigger a melody by hand only with AEM modules.

Ah that looks really dope! Although it's mainly focused on triggering the melody (which comes in also quite handy!). My idea was more to be able to trigger inputs with the help of the conductive plates. This way you can move the clock of the TRIG164 f.e. Or trigger the envelopes, restart the LFO's etc. I made a quick sketch of how it could look on the outside together with a ribbon idea (thanks to member Lugia ) and pressure points. Somehow I think this shouldn't be too hard to develop, but as a DIY newbie who am I to judge :'). [edit] I've searched the web a bit, and I've a feeling this is basically what is necessary: www.amazon.com/MakerHawk-Analog-Ceramic-Vibration-Arduino/dp/B07KS5NV4VThe pricetag is a bit too much and as there are only 2 components to it, it may be easier to build this on a board yourself. I’ve built something like this with force sensing (and light dependent) resistors: forum.aemodular.com/post/336/threadOne can probably just substitute the Piezos for the FSRs. Turning a pressure CV into a gate can probably be done easily with a transistor, switching a 5V signal on and off. If you need precise control over the threshold, when the CV switches on the gate, then there are also comparator ICs for exactly that purpose.
