These might be of interest to AE modular builders Trill Sensors by Bela
note: they can be used by arduino/teensy (not just bela) so suitable for low voltage systems like AE... idea is very simple: why not add a touch interface to your AE modular? either sliders, x/y pads or more creative stuff.... you can: - either use their BAR/SQUARE sensors , and/or - create your own sensor using conductive materials, and use the craft board to connect. either case, then connect to an arduino/teensy (via i2c) to take those 'touches' and then output them as CV - simples its all pretty thin so you can stick to an AE face plate, and then just being that mount the teensy etc. should be a pretty simple DIY project, which I think will add a few extra dimensions to AE modular I've backed some, so once they arrive (feb 2020), I'll post a project about it

co-incidence.... the lcd screen on my 23 year old SU10 just went blank last month... i kept looking at the ribbon and thinking how it would fit nicely on a 1u Ae modular faceplate!!

this is one idea I have for trill....
note: you don't need bela pepper, trill will work with Arduino or anything with i2c the main consideration for me, is using something that can have as many cv outputs as possible.
im wondering about doing it is own small 'skiff'.
one aspect that is useful, is the trill is very shallow, this means the Arduino or whatever is doing the interfacing can sit underneath the playing surface, so it doesn't take up anymore HP than the playing surface. (unlike in this video where the pepper is a 'generic module' , so is fairly bulky)
another option im considering, is a making this skiff both AE and eurorack compatible and self powered. easy enough, as I will restrict the eurorack side to 5v. possibly using a small ribbon cable, and a tiny output module in the AE rack … as ive done previously with bela)
