That kick is heavy, how'd you make it? Is that the drumkit module or? Besides that, really dig the minimalist style, cool track! Looking forward to more

Brilliant! I love the transitions and the rhythmic variations with the kick fading in and out. Have you sequenced this with SEQ16 and TRIQ164 or have you used any external sequencers?

I'm sure @careck would agree... We need a picture of your setup.

hey Guys, happy you are liking!
slowscape: Before the modular reaches my soundcard it passes through an old Reel to Reel. Its broken but the amp works. In this track the kick (and at some points the vco too) is going in to the red, saturating, and that makes the kick bigger. It gets compressed in a way. I would highly suggest anyone to use an old reel to reel that has a standalone amp, it adds a great color! They go for peanuts, sometimes free.
careck: Its sequenced with the SEQ16. I just did an 8 step pattern (with repeat function on most steps, affecting the hi hat) and the kick in the first step. Then i was sometimes connecting a cable from step 2 to the reset. So then the kick and hat on the first step repeats on an on, and thats the 4 on the floor techno. I did the same with a 2nd SEQ16 thats triggering the 2OSC/d occasionally resetting the pattern from the 2nd step
Unfortunately i completely "erased" the patch and made a new one :-( The Filter for the 2OSC/2 is the BP out of the SVFilter with the resonance cranked. Reverb is Shimmer. I guess there's no more secrets to it :-)

Very creative use of the SEQ16! Regarding the removal of the patch ... I'm the same ... once I've recorded a performance and put on Youtube I'm so happy to pull all the wires out and knowing that I will never again play the same thing. It's a relief! Although sometimes I look at old videos and I think "how did I get this sound?" but usually there's a complete mess of wires and I know that I'll never be able to reproduce it even from a photo or video. The joys of modular!

So true about removing wires. I’ve got a patch that I really like hooked up right now, but no time to record it!! All I want to do is design a new patch at this point 😆
I’m going to put a pad of paper next to my setup to help document cool patches and ideas

For the ms20 there is this website with which you can save patches online: 20patch.constructingtowers.com/patchYou can freely move knobs and connect wires and then save the patch online. Then patches stored online are free for anyone to access. Would be really cool to have such a thing for AE modular!

I just replied to a thread that has some options for saving ae patches. The Python implementation looks great. With some tweaks it could become easier and could even be hosted so that people unfamiliar with python won’t need to fuss with setting it up. I’m going to work on this as I have time

slowscape , here is part one of my initial jams with the AE. Think the VCO sounds quite good, without any PWM even. This video was shot before I got my slew limiter too, so no portamento on this one ;P
