So, I decided to pollute my pure AE rack with my Teenage Engineering PO32 drum thingamajig.
It is a little wider than 2 modules so I sacrificed three spaces. However, depending on the neighboring ones, two might do it.
I took out the blank panels and added two wide rubber bands to hold the OP32 in place near the Master module so I can sync it to an LFO. I had no luck getting the AE's sequencers to sync to the PO32's sync out though, so I'll have to do a bit of homework to find out why (any clues peeps?).
Okay, not rocket science but sometimes these simple methods don't occur to me until I've already started cutting holes in stuff then changed my mind.

Regarding sync, I never used a PO, but looking at the manual you should set sync mode to SY1, SY3 or SY5. Those will output sync pulses on the tip/left channel and mono audio on the ring/right channel. Plug the 3.5mm stereo TRS cable from the PO’s output into the 4I/O module’s 3.5 mm socket 1 and then get sync from the 1 I/O and audio from the 2 I/O pin header sockets. If you don’t have the 4I/O you need a 3.5mm TRS stereo to left/right TS mono Y cable to split the sync and audio to two separat 3.5 mm jacks. Then you can use the Master I/O sockets.

it works? PO is synchronized with AE? Yes, AE Modular uses typical analog clock signals so you can sync pretty much anything that accepts or sends analog clock

Yes, AE Modular uses typical analog clock signals so you can sync pretty much anything that accepts or sends analog clock I am using the AE LFO to send ticks to the Pocket Op. I will try some more rigorous experimentation and report back about using the PO32's clock. Half way through the video is the mighty PO32 drum (a little under-utilised in this instance
