I made a simple DIY clock source from a 555N so that I could sync the various bits that need syncing, like the TRIQ164 and SEQ16 etc. (see attached pic.) PIN 3 of the 555N is the output, variable with the potentiometer, which I patch into the CLK input of the modules I want to sync (the 4 cables at the top)
All works well for most modules, but I can't sync the TOPOGRAF with this setup as it seems to need a much higher frequency to "run".
I see on the MI Grids page that the clock input can be "External clock input, with selectable resolution (24, 8 or 4 ppqn) [pulses per quater note].
Is that true of the TOPOGRAF? I guess the resolution isn't selectable.
Does anyone know how it's clock works? What does the clock actually trigger?
Any any ideas on how to overcome this?

If the Topograf needs faster clock than the others then set your clock source to a tempo that matches the Topograf and use the Beatdivider to create lower tempo clocks for the other modules.

The Topograf is a direct clone of the MI grids and works in the exact same way. You can change the clock resolution using the advanced modes. I've made a video about those hope it helps

Yes, that helped actually. Thank you.
I put a smaller capacitor in the circuit to increase the reset cycle rate and along with the 24ppnq setting, I've got some it working! Yay!
