FYI, I did do a bit of checking with Bastl about signal compatibility between the AE standards and these two pin-patch Bastl devices. According to their support, they should be 100% compatibile, as they noted that these use the same 0-+5v standard as the AE system. Worth noting, also, that they were aware of the AE voltage/signal requirements; no real explanation was necessary.

It's funny how I approached BitRanger; at release I was like 'I don't need this, where is my synthvoice' and then 'I need this to be my analog brain in my setup'. And showing it to some of my quirky friends they really liked the patterns you could get out of it, kinda know where you are going but the BitRanger often give you something more.
In my setup BitRanger is the Brain for my FolkTek Mescalin - that too is basically compatible with AE standards, but it can output higher voltages so one needs to know when or how to attenuate those signals, but mostly it is within spec.
I need to experiment a bit more with SoftPop to really know if it is worth the money soundwise, it got allot of features that's for sure.

I see the Bitanger has a CV output. But can you patch the CV direct to the AEM from the patch bay on the Bitranger? I'm wondering whether I'd need to get the AEM 4IO module to work with the Bitranger and whether that offers better interactablility.

I patch directly to pin-points between my Kastle and the AE Modular, no problem. So, extrapolating from what has been written I imagine that it will work.

Anyone got further thoughts on the Softpop 1 (not 2) patch compatibility with AE?
Starting to see these coming up second hand on EBay at around 300 quid. Which might be well worth it if all the parts of the softpop can be directly interpatched with my AE.
