Before I go too bananas with my AE conversion I chucked together a tiny four voice rack and did a short demo of how I use the Octex for midi to cv and gate. Set it to the mode you want, get a common ground connected and awaaay you go. Hit me up if you have any questions.
Cheers!

Hi bearheadwood, this video is private ... could you make it publicly viewable?

Hi bearheadwood , this video is private ... could you make it publicly viewable? The last step I had forgotten to do haha. Should be viewable now.

Absolutely brilliant! And it's so easy to get 4 voices in AE with only 2x OSC/d modules! Could you explain again how you connected the ground from Midimuso to AE?
Are you planning to put the midimuso into an enclosure of sorts?

Are you planning to put the midimuso into an enclosure of sorts? There's 8 pins on each of the ports on the Octex, 6 are outputs from the PCB and the last two are both grounds, so I used a 16 strand ribbon cable and split it in half, eight on each side. Just take the appropriate ground output and put into the ground on the Master module and Robert's your mother's brother. I've got a panel planned out for using it in the banana system I'm converting my AE to. You could put one into a case but it's 5U wide, not exactly the most efficient space-wise, and it takes 12v for power, so that would have to be sorted, too.

I'm looking forward to seeing AE modular gone bananas!
I'm persevering with the jumper leads for now but, after playing in the dark the other night, I realised that patching live is going to be tough. Rather than going bananas with you though, I'm toying with some variations on a pin or switch matrix. Probably the latter but not right across the system, just enough to set up before a gig and re-patch into a few different configurations. I think Robert mentioned he had some ideas about this. Actually, a bunch of good old-fashioned radio buttons would be fun, if a bit chunky.

I'm planning on streaming while I'm putting stuff together, I'll definitely be dropping a link in here when I've got my head around OBS and the doing of that particular thing. Need to look into buttons for upsizing the triq64, let me know if you find a cheap hookup, let me know!

I also built the CV12 kit and hooked it up to the AE. Works great! However instead of just connecting the pitch CV pins directly I put a 4I/O in between. Making sure you don't play notes that would go over the 5V sounded a bit too risky to me. The gate pins can be safely connected directly, they are 5V.

Nothing wrong with a wee bit of safety!

Amazing! I'd love to put together something that would allow some more precise voice control like this. Get the full sound!
