I am in the process of building a eurorack case to go alongside my AE system. My question is, do gate signals (for example, from the Triq or Topograf) actually work on eurorack modules if sent thru the 4 i/o? I feel like they should but my noob self just needs a little confirmation.

Yes, they should work fine, as 5V gates/triggers are usually enough to trigger Eurorack modules. There might be some rare exceptions, but in those cases you can usually use a Eurorack amplifier module to boost the gates or use another module in between, like a Eurorack envelope generator that triggers at 5V, to trigger a module that requires a higher voltage.
