I played a down-tempo, improvised live show together with Strategic Tape Reserve’s VLK last weekend, at the Bend Make Change Festival and brought my AE Modular as well. It’s a bit hard to hear it, because of the various stuff that’s going on, but it is technically an AE Modular performance My AEM travel case: And my latest DIY module: I also brought three Axoloti synths with USB MIDI controllers and my Linnstrument and VLK played his Eurorack, Digitakt and an Axoloti noise synth as well

This is so good to see you make a whole show with your AE in the travel case. I especially like how you incorporated your DIY modules into the whole setup. I especially love the name of the festival "Bend Make Change" because I live in a small community called "Bend" (Bega Eco Neighbourhood Development) which was founded to change the way we live to a more sustainable one ... once I get my system and practiced a bit I'll gather our resident musicians and have a concert at our place with the same title Most of the musos that live here are folk musicians ... so it'll be interesting to see how they can cope with glitchy AE

cool, stuff i really enjoyed this - I particularly like the bits where you mixed in the melodic lines from the Linnstrument. Id love to hear more about how you used AE (and axoloti too ) , was it mainly for sequenced lines using the Seq module, or effects, or mixtures? what's so cool, is to see how you've managed to bring a number of different things together to form a cohesive whole, to a pinnacle of being able to perform with it, well done your efforts have really paid off!

Thank you both The AE Modular mostly played textures and crunchy drones with sparse pitch sequencing, but VC switch and logic action. At the bottom of the travel case is a Korg nanoKontrol, which is connected to an Axoloti noise synth I created, that sonically goes well with the AEM. It’s nothing complicated, just a bunch of oscillators with cross-modulation, a bit crusher, two delays and a low-pass filter, all with feedback. Then I also brought my Axoloti drum sequencer, which I initially built for the AudioThingies DoubleDrummer: community.axoloti.com/t/live-performance-midi-sequencer-for-audiothingies-doubledrummer/4926When I finished programming that thing though, I realized that I could just as well load the drum samples on the Axoloti’s SD card and I don’t actually need to carry the DD around. So I did that! Man, I love the Axoloti Haha! Unfornately I was a bit careless at our setup and had some sync problems during the show, so I didn’t use the drums much and relied on VLK’s beat making on the Digitakt, which was also our master clock. The Linnstrument played another Axoloti then, loaded with on of the brilliant MPE demo patches by TSG.
