"Trinity is a universal musical instrument and original sounding modular groovebox. It can function as any type of digital synthesizer, sequencer, controller, arpeggiator or almost anything that can be programmed into a micro-controller."
discontinued by Bastl but now you can build your own from a board.

That looks interesting. I have the SQNCR that I use to sequence the microgranny, but not used it in a while.
How are you going to break out the audio and link pins? Would be cool to break out the FTDI so you can reporgramme it without pulling it appart.

I will probably not buy this one. I guess you'd have to have the FTDI pins sticking up out of the module, unless you don't mind unscrewing it each time you want to change things. There are a few FDTI expanders for USB that are pretty tiny though.
I'm planning to fiddle about with a ESP32 and see how well the Mozzi port works on it.
I also want to see how easy it would be to just update everything by wireless because even Grains is a bit tedious to have to plug in each time I change my mind.

Or you could connect the FTDi pins to an AE style connector and create a small "interface" cable that would fit the AE connector from the front panel.
